Milos is famous for its lacy beaches. With over 75 small and large beaches, with crystal clear blue waters, colorful chiseled rocks and white sand beaches, you are sure to get excited.
Due to its volcanic origin, Milos has an impressive morphology and variety of beaches. Occasionally you will find beaches with white-gold sandy beaches and sometimes pebble bays surrounded by stones, white, red, yellow or even black rocks. Separate colors and depths can be found in the sea, and you can also swim in well-organized beaches or choose more lonely and wild. It is certain that the island's clear waters and its infinite beauty beaches will provide you with an unprecedented experience.
As far as access is concerned, the road network is very good in the north and most of the southern beaches. They are relatively difficult to access on the east and west sides of the island and there is a dirt road for most of the route. Still, there are beaches (such as Kleftiko, Gerakas, Sykia and many not listed below) that you can only visit by sea, taking part in maritime excursions starting from Adamas.
Finally, we suggest you choose the beach to swim not only on the basis of its beauty but also on the direction of the air. In the meltemia and north winds it is best to choose beaches located in the bay, or even better on the south side of the island. Instead, to the south, we recommend the beaches on the north side of the island.
